Position Purpose

• Provide day to day manufacturing operations support as part of Lean management team.  
• Problem solve process roadblocks to meeting daily business objectives.
• Develop solutions for incremental continuous improvement priorities.
• Maintain process work instructions ensuring that any process changes are accurately reflected.
• Support and manage performance of two Document Control Assistants.

Primary Responsibilities

• Team member within cross-functional Lean daily management teams focused on ensuring flow is maintained through production lines.
• Responsible for ensuring work instructions and standard work are documented for each process step
• Leads process continuous improvement projects driven by business goals for safety, quality, delivery and cost in collaboration with manufacturing team ensuring projects are complete on time and within budget.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaborating and cohesion.

Position   Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in various engineering fields relating to mechanical design, manufacturing and process development
• 3+ years project management in a manufacturing environment
• BS degree (Mechanical or manufacturing engineering field strongly preferred)
• Proficient in Vision, Microsoft Office and MS Project
• AutoCad or ProE experience
• Technical report writing skills
• Travel as required < 10%
