Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician (Technical Specialist) will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the production line for the manufacturing of home and garden products. The role involves performing mechanical troubleshooting and ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-ups and changeovers of production line and production machinery and equipment.
• Conduct adjustments, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment to maximize run time on the production line.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns efficiently.
• Check quality of products throughout the manufacturing process.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment performing general maintenance and setting up machinery and packaging lines.
• Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing packaging equipment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in performing set-ups and adjustments on machinery or equipment, and operating machinery and equipment.
• Experience in replacing motors and gearboxes.
• Ability to perform quality checks on machinery and product.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in high volume production lines is highly desirable.
• Food industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic electrical knowledge is preferred, including the ability to unwire and rewire a motor.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing environment, working alongside general production workers, machine operators, and forklifts. There are three openings for day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm, working four days on and four days off. Additionally, there are four openings for night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am, working four nights on and four nights off, with a 32-minute unpaid lunch break.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
