Position Overview The Agency Respite Staffing Coordinator is responsible for recruiting and hiring qualified care providers who meet client needs and are a good fit for the company. This includes searching, interviewing, researching, onboarding, and scheduling new staff. The coordinator works with referral sources to determine staffing needs, develops and implements recruitment process improvements, and ensures steady staffing levels. Additionally, they interact with clients to determine scheduling and specific case needs. Essential Functions and/or Duties Recruiting: Creates and responds promptly to inquiries from all recruiting sources; contacts potential candidates via email, phone, and texts, making multiple attempts throughout the day; maintains applicant information in the recruiting system; schedules next steps with qualified candidates during initial contact when possible; follows up with previous candidates. Staffing/Scheduling: Manages client staffing needs; maintains accurate tracking of staff availability and assignments; creates and updates client schedules; collaborates with staff and families to match staffing needs; communicates schedule changes promptly; addresses personnel issues with the Agency Respite Manager; builds relationships with families, staff, and referral sources; participates in onboarding and community outreach; assists with administrative duties and adheres to policies; collaborates on process improvements for customer service and efficiency. Requirements High school diploma or GED One or two years of recruiting or scheduling experience Ability to work rotating after-hours on-call schedule Proficient in Microsoft Office Preferences Bachelor’s Degree One year of home care or related experience Bilingual skills a plus Other Skills/Abilities Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Remain calm and professional under stress Multi-tasking and attention to detail Time management and problem-solving skills Excellent organization and communication skills Leadership qualities and quick decision-making Physical Requirements Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds Prolonged sitting, walking, standing, bending, reaching Visual and hearing acuity Other Duties This job description is not exhaustive; duties may change as needed.
